Mudeungsan becomes Korea’s 21st national park.
Korea is famous for its beautiful mountains and rivers. If you asked me to recommend only one mountain, that would be the most difficult thing to do. However, I’d like to introduce you to the newest national park in Korea. In December last year, Mudeungsan Provincial Park was designated as the 21st national park in Korea. This gorgeous and beloved mountain extends over the city of Gwangju, Hwasun County and Damyang County in South Jeolla Province. Mudeungsan is the second most visited mountain in Korea behind Bukhansan. It is home to 2,296 species of animals and plants including 8 endangered species.
