(입트영) Jukkumi bokkeum

Jukkumi bokkeum(13.3.14)
One day, a friend of mine took me out for lunch to restaurant in Yongdo-dong, Seoul. He didn’t tell me what we were going to have. When we arrived there, I saw a huge bronze jukkumi statue. There was an alleyway full of jukkumi restaurants. Then I realized we were having jukkumi bokkem, which happens to be one of my favorite Korean dishes. Jukkumi is a small species of octopus. Bokkeum generally refers to a Korean that is stir-fried in a thick sauce. For some, octopus might not be the best choice for lunch. However, I’m pretty sure that jukkumi bokkeum will pep up your appetite. Be careful though. It’s even a bit spicy for me!
