The water shortage crisis in Korea
Korea faces the biggest risk of water shortage among OECD countries. Experts call this “water stress”. The total demand for potable water outweighs what is available. It’s estimated that Korea’s water stress level stands at 40%. Farms and factories contaminate our water supply. It takes a lot of money and time to purify this water and we can no longer avoid the issue. We need to stop using water like it is an unlimited resource. Water conservation is something we must all take part in. Without changing our behavior and wasting this precious resource, the problem will only exacerbate. Try to be mindful of saving water today.
